Imagine getting a knock on the door and a devliery man says he has a package for you. “Okay,” you think. But here’s the kicker. The package is a little late…60 years or so. The word is that the package was opened and it turns out that it “contained a black-and-white photo rolled tightly in a cigar-sized mailer. It bore an orange six-cent stamp and a postmark of May 5, 1946. The photo inside shows the USS Wichita in Nagasaki Harbor.”
