Okay. With episode 2 of The Pacific set to air this evening (March 21, 2010) in the US, I thought I’d post a few Marine recruiting posters I found on my inter-web travels. Of the seven, I like the art deco style of the flight poster best. There is something about the color and lines that make it just “pop.”
And the comic poster? I don’t know what to think of that just now. But it does speak to the way Americans were conditioned to think of the Japanese during the war. It’s not pretty, but in line from accounts of what I’ve read from the period.
